A fit Wilshere
I see he is on a video of having a kick a bout with his better half, understand she was not allowed to tackle him. Expect reports to start of how he has now pulled, tweaked another muscle and will be out for another 4 weeks.

Hartsons value offset slightly by kicking one of our key flair playmakers in the head.

Ian Wright scored 9 goals in 22 games so was short but pretty sweet.

no value for Hartson?

Re: A fit Wilshere
We have never had any value when transferring players from Arsenal. Out of Radford, Robson, Aliadiere, Hartson, Wright, Winterburn, Suker, Ljungberg and of course Wilshire, only Robson (briefly) proved worthwhile. None of them wore the Hammers shirt more than 100 times. Personally I think the club we've had best value from in the transfer market over the years has been Newcastle - Keeble, Pop Robson, Keith Robson, Hislop, Parker and Nolan.

Didn’t he then immediately get injured and basically never play again?

Sukers Off was my favourite fantasy football team name though.

Re: A fit Wilshere
We got 18 months of football out of Stewart Robson who at the time was the highest paid player in our history on a 4 and a half year contract - he was injured the rest of the time.

Winterburn put in a shift and did his best because he was a model pro but he was pretty long in the tooth after he joined us too.

Winterburn put in a good shift for us.

Re: A fit Wilshere
Remember seeing Wilshere play for England when he was around 20, was by far the best player on the pitch. Still have some hope he can contribute this season.

Also Stewart Robson was hammer of the year after he signed from Arsenal.

That's a fair grudge.

Even if he did have a pitstop at Norwich in-between

I still hold a grudge against them for Steve Wally Walford

"Doesn’t strike me as someone with anything intelligent to say."

Which footballers ever do?

Even clowns like Clarke Carlisle who talks like he swallowed a dictionary get exposed as being a half-wit when in front of the camera.

"Whenever I've heard we may be signing an Arsenal player I reach for worry beads. Name me a decent one in the last 50 years."

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Ian Wright had a better record at West Ham than Carlos Tevez. Cheaper too.

Pundit?
Doesn’t strike me as someone with anything intelligent to say.
Sky could maybe employ him to give updates on injured players. He has had all the injuries and has probably spent so much time with Doctors he knows the lingo.

Re: A fit Wilshere
I want to see if someone can manage him like Arry did with Ledley King at Spurs. We might get at least a season out of him.

Re: A fit Wilshere
My guess is he'll leave us after he's seen out his contract, get a short term gig abroad, probably MLS or somewhere like that and then retire in his early 30's before becoming a pundit.

He loves talking (mainly about Arsenal) and always seems to be doing an interview for something or other. So guessing the punditry route is something he will fancy.

Re: A fit Wilshere
As someone has suggested below, John HARTSON was a decent signing.

Winterburn wasn't too bad either.
